1 Base Nerf Reimbursement? on Sun Jun 10, 2018 7:10 am

I'm assuming a mod or admin nerfed my base for some reason (I guess it had some any-grav properties?)

#1 - Can I get reimbursed for the 20 or so metal floors that were taken away from me?

#2 - Next time can you please leave a note or PM me here informing me of the issue? I had to figure this shit out on my own: wondering why I couldn't build on my plot.... figuring out that my plot pole had been removed and replaced... thinking I was griefed by another player...

I've been on this server a long time, and you guys run it well, but seriously, you need to work on communicating to your players when issues arise.

I understand some people have forum names vastly different from their in-game tags. But come on... it's like no one even tried to look in my case. Only difference between my in-game tag and forum name is "1979".

13 floating floors pieces & 1 sandbag where removed by me, after an incident involving a plane, an unexpected stop and a large fire immediately thereafter.
The only part I removed was the free-floating ramps that went up into the air, and the two sandbag walls on the edge at the top,

It was removed because of the anti-gravity rule, but I will explain why the 'no gravity defying bases' rule exists, so you guys have some context.. it is because when you add walls to a structure they are visible to a fast moving aircraft a long time before metal floor pieces are, and are more noticeable due to their flat texture.

These items will be refunded to you, just hit one of us up when you are online next.

The plot pole however was not touched by me, and may be the result of a greifer, we publicly addressed the server yesterday regarding some strange behavior we noticed in the logs regarding plot poles and a new member.

I will pop online later today and grab some coordinates and investigate the plotpole issue, now that we have had a complaint we can take action on the user in question..

I will keep you posted.

The plot pole was picked up and placed back down in the same location due to identifying the users base while you was off the plot as left upstairs on the right side of your base in the same location all you had to do was pick it up and place it back down due to the anti gravity issue,

I've been using the if i almost it enforcement.

If I almost hit it and its anti gravity, i come back with an m1a1 lmfao. Or if I just hate it.
Sometimes for fun. I flew a c130 into venoms, didnt even scratch it. Then we had to take the whole thing down anyways Sad

Thanks Welsh, I found the plot pole, noticed it was in the different but near placement, removed it and replaced it for myself again. After realizing what had happened I put 2 and 2 together and figured one of you had replaced the plot pole to remove the metal floors. (My first clue was when I went to build another metal floor and had no access to the plot, lol)

Knight, thanks for explaining that. So to clarify: if I were to build a base with a tunnel up to a "floating base", as long as it has some kind of walls all the way up as well as around the upper platform, that would be ok? I'm rebuilding my design with a tower structure in mind (has walls all the way up), but I love a high sniper position from my base also, so I'm just looking for a way for me to do that without breaking these anti-grav rules. Like a space needle tower kinda thing. I know someone by Gorka had created a double disc tower thing. Is that a suitable design?

Jess, I'd say "maybe you need to fly a little higher?" cheers lol!

Hello,
You can build up but it must not be antigravity base so has to have a supporting wall/surrounding for this, if it just floating the same may well happen again and have it removed so make sure it's not defying gravity and everything will be okay and make sure it's got a supporting wall as when flying the tender distance don't always load in as I flew into it other day as it's just floor

Yep, as long as it has walls visible from any direction it's ok by me!

Jess took care of the reimbursement for this.

She was rewarded with donuts.
